QA/QC - Conducting training programs to ensure drivers are familiar with safety standards and company policies - Ensuring that drivers are properly trained on company policies and procedures prior to operating company vehicles - Overseeing the purchase of new vehicles or equipment for the fleet FLEET - Managing the fleet inventory to include all required equipment for each vehicle such as fire extinguishers and tires - Developing and maintaining a fleet operations policies manual that outlines responsibilities and procedures for all fleet operations staff members - Collecting and checking driver's timesheet before submitting to accounting department - Learning the customer's route and support drivers in finding the best way OPERATION & MAINTENANCE - Coordinating with other departments to ensure proper maintenance of vehicles and equipment, as well as adequate insurance coverage - Reviewing customer complaints, accident reports, and other records of vehicle damage or injuries to passengers or other parties involved in an accident - Maintaining records of fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and other information about the operation of each vehicle in the fleet
